HEREFORD United will start the new Nationwide Conference season with a home clash against Southport.
Director of Football Graham Turner believes the August 19 clash will be a testing start for his side.
He said: "I think Southport will be a tough one. They have made one or two signings including Mike Marsh who played a significant part in Kidderminster Harriers' promotion.
"Whoever it is will always be a tough game, but we are pleased to be at home."
The Bulls follow with trips to Kettering on August 22 and Hayes on August 26 before a home clash with Northwich on August 28.
Their festive double-header is against relegated Chester City, away on Boxing Day and at home on New Year's Day.
Turner is still waiting to complete the signing of Stoke midfielder Phil Robinson as his new player-coach.
He added: "We are still not settled yet. It might happen today or it might not happen at all, but we are still confident."
Meanwhile, the Bulls have fixed up a repeat of last season's FA Cup clash with Leicester City for a pre-season friendly.
The Foxes will visit Edgar Street on Wednesday, August 9.
