HEREFORD United could snap up trialists Matt Baker and Andy Moran before the start of their Nationwide Conference season against Southport on Saturday.
Former Hull goalkeeper Baker and ex-Tranmere striker Moran have both impressed in their pre-season friendlies, and boss Graham Turner said: "There will be further discussion taking place this week. There is certainly a possibility we might see them again."
Turner now looks unlikely to follow up his interest in Cardiff striker Dai Thomas, who also played in several pre-season games. Merthyr Tydfil are also interested in the player.
Defender Paul Sturgess is United's main doubt for Saturday with a knee injury.
