Hereford United Director of Football Graham Turner has one wish for tonight's LDV Vans Trophy first round clash with Yeovil Town at Edgar Street (7.45) -- that it isn't decided on penalties!
Phil Robinson's spot-kick miss in Saturday's home defeat against Doncaster was the fifth time this season that the Bulls have failed to convert a penalty.
The game could be decided on that method if there are no goals in 'golden goal' extra time, and Turner said: "What we will dread is if it comes to penalties. We have to make sure it doesn't go that far."
United are confident that Edgar Street will be fit for action tonight after the postponement of the tie last week.
Turner said: "Right at this moment the pitch is in very good condition given all the circumstances."
And former Bulls boss Colin Addison will be bringing Nationwide Conference leaders Yeovil to town with confidence sky-high from their FA Cup victory at Blackpool on Sunday.
Turner added: "We have not beaten them yet since we started to come up against them in the Conference.
"They have had a terrific weekend and their players are still on a high. They are the team to beat for us."
The Bulls hope to have striker Steve Piearce back after missing the Doncaster defeat with a hamstring problem, while skipper Ian Wright is expected to play despite an ankle problem.
Defender Tony James, however, could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury, while winger Paul Parry is poised to be sidelined for up to three months as he awaits an operation on his injured ankle.
