Hereford United could land their second piece of silverware this season tonight - with the start of their Nationwide Conference programme still 18 days away.
United tackle Dr Martens Premier Division newcomers Newport County at Edgar Street (7.45) for the Herefordshire Senior Cup, having won the Doxhill Cup against Stoke City on Saturday.
Injuries will continue to sideline Paul Fewings, Paul Parry, Ian Wright, Steve Piearce and Leroy May, which has frustrated Director of Football Graham Turner's plans to rotate his squad.
He said: "I would have given one or two of them a breather but I have been forced to play most of them again - we have had quite a tough programme."
Newport, whose manager Tim Harris is from Ledbury, changed their name in the summer to revert to the title of the former Football League club, who went into liquidation 10 years ago.
Turner added: "They had a successful season last year, and I expect it to be a little bit different from the two games against Stoke and Wolves where we played against mainly young pros.
"They will be a more physically stronger side and we will have to cope with that."
