HEREFORD United are in the running for a £75,000 windfall from Sky Television.
Their FA Cup second round tie with Hartlepool United on November 20 is one of those being considered for live coverage by the satellite TV giants.
Representatives from Sky were due to visit Edgar Street today, and a decision is expected this evening.
If United's tie is selected, the match will be switched to either Friday evening or Sunday lunchtime, and the money from the television pool will be a real bonus to the cash-strapped club.
United's 1-0 win over York City on Saturday has thrust the club back into the limelight, and Director of Football Graham Turner said: "They are certainly considering it.
"All we had to do was get clearance from our police that there would be no problems if the game were to be switched. They do inspect the grounds if they have not covered a game there before."
Turner plans a spying mission to watch Hartlepool take on Barnet in the Third Division tonight, but said: "It will be another tough game. They will be no mugs after their victory over Millwall on Sunday, but I am sure they won't relish coming here."
