GLEBE Chapel was the centre of activity for children in Newent this week.
Children from around the town gathered at the chapel each day for the annual holiday playscheme.
Entitled GCX - Glebe Chapel Extra - the scheme saw around 50 children a day enjoy a bouncy castle, parachute games, art activities, quizzes, competitions and water fights, as well as activities on a religious theme.
There was no charge for participants, with the costs being covered by the church.
Organiser Andrea Cox said a lot of the children who attended the chapel had come along to the playscheme, and had brought their friends as well.
"They have fun, and they learn about the Bible," she said. "They were very enthusiastic."
