A PLAYING field in Bromyard could be renamed in memory of actress Rachel Kempson, who died earlier this year.
The field, at the end of The Knapp, was given to the town in 1943 by Rachel's cousin, Lucy.
Rachel, who married Michael Redgrave, lived at Dumbleton Cottage, in Church Street, during the Second World War. She died in May, aged 92.
She was the mother of the actors Corin, Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave.
At a full council meeting on Monday, Bromyard and Winslow Town Council was due to discuss the idea of renaming the field and creating a permanent memorial to the family.
However, the matter was deferred to the September meeting.
In March, Corin Redgrave returned to Bromyard to give a charity performance at the Conquest Theatre.
