PROMOTING international friendship and culture was the aim when Lions club members played host to European youngsters.
Young ambassadors from all over the continent, representing their own towns and sponsored by their own Lions clubs, spent 10 days with club members to experience culture in other countries and see how people live.
Ross-on-Wye Lion, Jim Hamilton and his wife Louis were hosts to two girls, 17-year-old Elise Sakkinen from Gothenburg, Sweden and Annette Falt, 19, from Helsinki in Finland.
The Hamiltons, from Goodrich, volunteered to provide entertainment for the girls and visited Hay-on-Wye, Kilpeck Church, Gloucester and Chepstow.
