JOHN Kyrle High School A-level students move into higher education after excelling in a diverse range of subjects.
An incredible 80% of the Ross-on-Wye candidates have now been accepted to their first-choice university after gaining a magnificent set of results.
Alison Clarke built on her GCSE success with straight As in French, maths, chemistry and physics and now goes to Birmingham where she will read French and Italian.
Celebration
Anna Roberts was another celebrating after gaining two As and two Bs, which mean she can study medicine at University College London.
And head boy Sam Radziejowski will make the trip to University College Swansea to study business management.
Headteacher Nigel Griffiths was again delighted with the success and praised his staff and students for their hard work and commitment.
"I am especially pleased with the large number of students who undertook maths and science programmes, which are traditionally the more difficult of the advanced level courses.
"The success of both year 12 and 13 students in this area is testament to the progress being made by the school as a technology college," he said.
Mr Griffiths added that the progress at the Ross school is still continuing.
He said: "We have just received a grant from the Department of Education and Skills to extend our sixth form facilities during the next academic year to accommodate the increasing numbers of students from other schools who are choosing to study A-levels and GNVQs at John Kyrle."
