Hinton 5 Bustleholme Res 1
HINTON made a flying start in their quest for West Midlands League Division 1 South honours with a comprehensive victory, despite having Phil Glover sent off for two bookable offences just after the break.
They dominated the match from the off and, after missing a couple of early chances, took the lead in the 20th minute when Luke Semple's free-kick was headed back across the box by Matt Aspey for Glover to head home.
The brothers Semple then combined for Luke to set up Ross, who extended the home lead just before the break.
Glover departed shortly after the restart and, although Bustleholme pulled a goal back, good work from home midfielders Darren Birch and Martin Powell enabled Hinton to take control.
Luke Semple added a third and, when substitute Jody Dawe was brought down in the box, Aspey fired home the resulting penalty.
Dawe rounded off the scoring with a crisp drive after excellent work from Birch and Matt Smalley.
