TRAVELS -- Sunday, August 3 was the last service that the Rev Dr Chris Fletcher held before he and his wife Maggie start their travels. In preparation for their pilgrimage, the Camino to Santiago de Compostela, they have been rising early and walking four or five miles before breakfast with full packs. They have booked flights to Bilbao and then on to Pamplona where they start the Camino proper. Chris and Maggie plan to walk more than 400 miles across the Meseta and over the mountains and plan to arrive at the cathedral in Compostela on Chris's birthday, October 14. There they hope to meet up with friends and well-wishers from the Bredenbury area who are travelling there to celebrate their enormous achievement. We wish Chris and Maggie a safe and fulfilling journey.
