FLOWER SHOW -- The show was a great success with a good number of entries in many classes. Once again it was pleasing to see some 'new' entrants, several of whom won prizes at their first attempt. The cups were well contested but a few of the regulars scooped the board yet again. Many people commented on the overall quality of the show, which is very satisfying for everybody involved - competitors and organisers alike. Once again, the garden stall proved very popular and particular thanks are due to Wyevale for their sponsorship of this part of the show. A considerable amount of voluntary work goes into organising the show and running the day. This year's committee has again been a good working team with a determination to ensure a successful and enjoyable show. Thanks are due to them all for the support and help not only on the show day, but also before and after. Last, but not least, a big thank you to everybody who submitted entries, visited the show, gave prizes and donations. Without their support it would not have been the enjoyable success it was. If you have any comments or suggestions for next year's show, please contact Lynn Jones (708896) or Carol Davies (708450).
