Colwall maintained their challenge for promotion from the Stroud & Swindon BS West of England Premier League Glos/Wilts Division 1 with a 45-run home win over Bredon.
The Herefordshire side made a solid start through openers Tom Wolfendale (21) and the evergreen Dave Powell (55) but slid to 119-4 after 33 overs.
Powell's dismissal brought together Tim Riley and Richard Williams (13), the opening partnership of 13 years ago, to repair the innings. Riley continued to bat carefully and struck an unbeaten 66 as Colwall closed on 202-8.
Spinner Dave Sutton snapped up 4-31 as the visitors replied and it was the weighty support of Stuart Bailey (3-47) which put Colwall on course for their fifth straight league win.
Andy Sutton also weighed in with 2-53 as the Bredon innings declined from a promising 79-0 to a disappointing 157 all out.
