DERYK Young from Yarkhill was top local driver in two rounds of the Tran-X British Hill Climb Championship at Shelsley Walsh last Saturday.
Making full use of his four-litre Judd-powered Dellara, Young stormed to fifth place in the morning run-off, clocking 25.34 seconds over the 1,000-yard course.
Roger Moran was seventh on 25.62. Young took seventh spot in the afternoon runs with 25.65 and Moran was eighth on 25.67.
Luston driver Dave Wilson was second in the 2000cc Road Sports Class with 33.84 to retain fifth place in the Clarks Midland Championship.
Roger Moran remains fourth in the Tran-X British Championship with 144 points.
