Leominster powered their way to the top of the Nash Rocks League table with two wins in a week to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches.
In their top-of-the-table home match against Hay, they conceded only one rink to the visitors to take 14 valuable points and send the visitors home with just one rink win and two points.
Leominster then followed this up with a solid away win at Hereford, again taking 14 points from the match.
This was just enough for Leominster to take over the top spot from Hay and they now lead the table by one point.
Both clubs have two matches left to play in the league with the championship probably resting between them. Third-placed Kington now trail Leominster by five points with only one fixture left and seem to be out of the running.
St Martin's, who the previous week beat Kington to dash their chances, continue to play a pivotal role in this year's championship.
They face Leominster away and then at home in a rearranged fixture to complete Leominster's league programme.
Further down the table, Wellington secured their sixth win of the season by beating Kingsland on all four rinks and moving to within two points of fifth-placed Brimfield.
Results: Leominster 115, Hay 73 (home rinks W3 L1); Wellington 119, Kingsland 50 (W4); Hereford 76, Leominster 93 (W1 L3).
