A TODDLER with cerebral palsy has received a helping hand from former Hereford United striker Stewart Phillips.

The parents of three-year-old William Gregory were 'over the moon' with the £2,000 that Stewart raised from his run in the London Marathon.

"Stewart's amazing offer and the generosity of all the sponsors has bowled us over," explained mother Jane.

"We are using the money to buy a specialist computer for William, which will really help with his learning. He has already had a go on it, and to see him enjoying himself is just an amazing feeling."

With such a large amount raised, David and Jane have money remaining which will be used to pay for treatment in London.

"William has some water on the brain and we visit experts in London at the Bobath centre. Although we get funding for the treatment, the travel and accommodation costs really add up, so this will be a huge help," explained Jane.

"The donation has arrived just in time because William is about to start at the Blackmarston School and the computer will help him keep up with his class mates," she added.
