Hereford'S South Wye Regeneration Partnership is into the fifth year of an ambitious area improvement programme and it's hoped their annual showcase 'The Big Event' will be the most successful so far.
Planned for Saturday, August 30, this will be held on King George V Playing Fields from around midday till late.
There's going to be lots to do on the day, including free face painting, Quazamaze, Punch and Judy, Wizard Wonky, pets corner, an army assault course as well as sports events, live music, a fun fair and fireworks.
In the main marquee, there will be plenty of information available on what is happening in Hereford, south of the river.
Family fun
The stands in the marquee will give people the chance to find out more about a whole range of projects and organisations that are operating in their area.
Will Lindesay, South Wye Community co-ordinator, said: "The Big Event is a family fun day that allows people to get involved and express their opinions and views.
"It's a fun-packed day with many exciting attractions and information that local residents should find useful."
Car parking is available at the pay and display car park at Hereford leisure pool and St Martin's Street. But there will be further parking available on King George V Playing Fields, entrance via Hinton Road.
