CAR clamping warnings have gone up in the car park at the Gaol Street Clinic in Hereford. The ban on public parking in any of the 28 spaces has been introduced by Herefordshire Primary Care Trust mainly for safety reasons.
Yvonne Clowsley, the trust's locality manager, said such action was regretted, but there was no alternative.
Provision has been made for some disabled, with larger bays being provided and for people dropping off patients.
The family planning service had expanded, the dental service quadrupled, a much larger child and adolescence mental health service and around 120 staff working from the centre.
People attending the clinic were being informed about the ban, which started yesterday (Wednesday) and staff had been 'very understanding' she said.
The no parking ban applies from 8-30am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
