MINSTER college students will be travelling far and wide to study at the country's top universities after achieving first class A-level results.
Rosemary Bailey was one of the many successes and will now go on to St Hilda's College, Oxford, to read human sciences after gaining two As and a B at A-level and a B at AS level.
Head girl Christine Hanson was also celebrating after she scooped three As and a B and will now study psychology at York.
After picking up A, B and C grades, Emma Manson is off to teach English in Nepal for the remainder of the summer. On her return she will head to Sussex University where she will read anthropology and gender studies.
With 13 out of 14 subjects attaining a 100% pass rate, principal Valerie Thomasson was naturally overjoyed with the continued improvement of her sixth form students.
"Broader choices, greater education and a finer focus on the stronger areas of study in the final year are bringing their just rewards within our sixth form," she said.
"The fantastic results are a culmination of the determination, ability and efforts of the students, coupled with the tremendous teaching ability, pastoral support and constant guidance of our staff.
"The most important resource in any school is its teaching staff and The Minster College is blessed in this regard with the quality and professionalism of its work force," she added.
And the future certainly looks bright as new figures suggest the Leominster college can expect its biggest enrolment in its history.
Viv Webb will be enrolling new students at the college on Tuesday, September 2 and more information on the courses offered can be obtained by calling deputy principal Richard Davies on 01568 613221.
