AN excellent all round team performance, highlighted by an unbeaten 90 from Brian Goode and 60 from Martin Oliver, enabled Colwall Seconds to record a fine 41-run victory over visiting Malmesbury.
COLWALL II v MALMESBURY
Colwall batted first and posted a formidable 267-4 in searing heat with Hankins top scoring with 46 and D Berry stroking an elegant 30no in the closing overs leaving the home side confident at the tea break.
Wickets fell at regular intervals during Malmesbury's reply which hampered their attempted run chase. D Berry (2-50), M Berry (2-33), P Barnes (2-20) and M Shouler (3-31) sharing the wickets as the visitors ended 41 runs short.
Colwall picked up 19 points and visit Bredon tomorrow (Saturday) hoping to continue their climb up the league table. Meet ground/direct 12.15pm for a 1.30pm start.
