WELSH Water is to begin work in Sellack as part of an investment scheme to upgrade the water mains network in the area.
The scheme, due to start on Monday, will involve renewing 22km of water mains in Foy, Sellack, Bridstow, Hoarwithy and Kings Caple. Due to be completed by January 2004, this will not only ensure top quality drinking water but will also improve the reliability of the water supply in the area, says Welsh Water.
The first phase is in Hoarwithy, and then in Bridstow. Temporary traffic lights and road closures will be in operation throughout the scheme.
Welsh Water has been liaising with Herefordshire Council and all customers directly affected will receive an information pack.
