WEST Midlands League Premier Division local rivals Kington Town and Wellington have an early opportunity to assess their relative potentials when they meet at Kington next Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.
Prior to that Kington open their campaign on Saturday at Tividale, and Wellington entertain Shawbury, both kicking-off at 2.45pm.
Both clubs have played several pre-season friendly matches, and Wellington have just returned from a short stay in Devon where the first and second teams played the local club, Newton Abbott.
Ledbury Town also start their season at home to Dudley Town, and Bromyard Town, under new management duo Martin Day and Mike Pugh, will be hosts to Lye Town.
In Division 1 South Leominster start with a home game against Bridgnorth Town Reserves under the new joint management team of former players Adrian Evans and Neil Bennett.
Herefordshire's other representative in Division 1 South will be Hinton who entertain Bustle-holme Reserves, boosted by the signing of ex-Pegasus and Kington Town's Martin Powell, and the return of former players Darren Prew and Matt Smalley.
