SPORT-LOVING David Johnson is to take up the role of Herefordshire Council's new head of human resources.
The 39-year-old, who holds the post of head of human resources in the housing directorate of Birmingham City Council, is to join Herefordshire Council on September 1.
The role of head of human resources is a newly-defined role which has come about following a detailed review of all the personnel and human resources functions at the council.
"I'm looking forward to the new challenges of working in Herefordshire," said David, who also spends his spare time playing badminton and football.
"Although Birmingham is very different to Herefordshire in many ways, I'm sure I'll be able to put the 20 years of local government experience I've gained into practice in the county and I'm looking forward to meeting my new colleagues," he added.
