HEREFORDSHIRE CBA visited New Lount for a match against Leicester-shire BA and were comprehensively defeated by 76 shots, losing 165-89.
Herefordshire's only successful rink was skipped by Colin Reading to an excellent 27-16 victory, but only Gerald Jones's rink managed to hold Leicestershire to a single-figures margin when they lost 24-15.
The rink skipped by president Dave Holloway held their own until the 18th end, but they conceded 10 shots in the remaining ends and were defeated 26-14, while Mike Hoffman's rink were always behind and went down 24-11.
Jack Gray's rink were down 11-9 after 10 ends but won only one of the remaining ends and were soundly beaten 35-10. But the highest defeat was suffered by Ray Walker, whose rink was down 21-5 after 10 ends and finally lost 40-12.
lHerefordshire Presid-ent's team have two matches this month.
Today they play Here-ford, starting 6pm, and on Saturday, August 30, they are at Ross-on-Wye, starting 3pm.
