A FOOTBALL frenzy lasting over nine hours and involving 62 six-a-side teams raised £2,000 for St Michael's Hospice last Sunday.
The Sue Parry Football Festival has gone from strength to strength since Sandra Parry helped organise the event in memory of her daughter Sue, who was 24 when she died of cancer four years ago.
In tribute to Sue, who was a huge football fan, her name lives on in the Sue Parry Support Group that regularly raises funds for St Michael's Hospice.
The winners were: seniors - The Three Elms pub team, and the runners up, Pizza Hut.
Junior under 10s: Wellington FC and the runners up, Bartestree FC. The Play night-club fair play award went to The Fountaineers pub team from Orcop.
The organisers are selling a commemorative A4 poster of the day which can be obtained from The Sue Parry Football Festival, St Michael's Hospice, Bartestree, Hereford HR1 4HA.
