TONY JAMES (6): The star of the United back line, no less a judge than former Tottenham and Sheffield Wednes-day boss Peter Shreeves proclaimed James the best defender in the Conference last season. His pace and reading of the game rarely saw the former West Bromwich Albion trainee fazed by Conference forwards and it's one of the mysteries of recent seasons that a higher-graded club hasn't given the 24-year-old Bulls skipper the chance to show what he can do on a bigger stage.
