MICK Galloway could elope to Gretna to leave Hereford United standing at the altar.
The Carlisle United midfield has rejected a third month's loan at Edgar Street in a bid to sort out his contractual finances at Brunton Park but the Scottish Third Division outfit are also vying for his services.
"Galloway is not prepared to come back on loan for another month, at this stage," said Turner.
"He would like to get it tied up permanently, so this week he's going up to Carlisle to see whether he can get a settlement up there.
"There is a bit of concern we might have lost him. He's done very well for us, he's enjoyed his time with us, and I think what we talked about in terms of a contract seemed acceptable to him, so it would be a bitter disappointment if he didn't end up with us on a more permanent basis.
"He's got to discuss the situation with them (Carlisle) and see if there's a settlement for him."
Ex-Spurs boss Peter Shreeves, now in charge at Barnet, was fulsome in his praise of Here-ford's 4-0 win last week-end.
"We got murdered," he said. "There was not a lot for us to take out of that game, but on that form Hereford were as good a team as we've played for sometime."
Turner had further good news in the week with the successful appeal on Andy Tretton's red card against Dagenham & Redbridge which has been rescinded.
The Bulls lie second in the Nationwide Conference discipline table having picked up fewer yellow and red cards than any other club bar Telford United. Telford have pick-ed up 18 yellow and two red cards since August in the league while Hereford have picked up 25 Conference bookings.
Alan Ashman, assistant manager at United under John Newman in the 1980s, has died aged 74. He managed West Brom's 1968 FA Cup winning team.
