A MALVERN bookshop plans to open at night to satisfy demand for the new Harry Potter book.
Beacon Books, in Worcester Road, will open at one minute past midnight tomorrow (Saturday) to allow eager readers to get their hands on the fifth volume by J K Rowling.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is one of the most eagerly awaited literary events of recent years and Stuart and Anne-Marie Phillips-Broadhurst are making sure their customers do not have to wait a moment longer than necessary.
"Many of our customers have said they will be here at midnight," said Mrs Phillips-Broadhurst. "It's another example of the personal service Malvern shops can offer."
Following the midnight session, Beacon Books will reopen at 8am tomorrow (Saturday).
