TOP British triple jumper Julian Golley leapt into Herefordshire for the Super Schools programme.
The former Commonwealth Games gold medallist left a big impression when he visited Wellington School last week as part of the national initiative designed to help athletes promote sport to children.
Pupils at the school took part in a sponsored circuit of sit-ups, 'burpies', press-ups and star jumps before meeting the triple jumper for a chat.
The proceeds of the day were split between the school and the Super Schools' organisation, which helps to fund young athletes at regional and national level.
Teacher Jim Ellen said: "It's an excellent programme, the children thoroughly enjoyed the day, and it was a privilege for us to have a well renowned athlete come to Wellington."
Julian Golley won his gold medal at the 1994 games in Canada.
