Hereford United director of football Graham Turner has not ruled out a return to Edgar Street for Portuguese striker Albano Correia.
The former Bristol City forward made six appearances for United at the end of last season and scored three goals, including a wonder strike at Southport.
Turner said: "Albano could be in the frame for next season because, as a former defender myself, I would not like to play against him every week. Albano is unpredictable but he certainly knows where the goal is - and he's not out of the frame."
Turner, however, has failed to sign a young goalkeeper after they could not agree terms but he has spoken to two unnamed right-backs from Football League clubs and intends to meet further defenders.
Turner has played down speculation linking Nationwide Conference champions Yeovil Town with winger Paul Parry, who scored 10 Conference goals last season.
Reports in the West Country have suggested that Yeovil are targeting the Welsh semi-pro international.
But Turner said: "We are trying to keep a side together and we intend to have a real go for it next season. We haven't had an approach from Yeovil and it's purely speculation."
Meanwhile, Hereford United's vice presidents' annual meeting takes place at the club on Monday, June 30 from 7.30pm.
