THE Longtown Mountain Rescue Team was called out for the second time in two weeks to help a young student climber who had fallen over 40ft cliffs at Symonds Yat.
The rescue team worked alongside fire fighters for over two and a half hours to get medical aid to the 20-year-old from Kent on the evening of Friday, June 13.
Having been treated on scene by a Mountain Rescue doctor and paramedic staff, the man was stretchered away from the Wye Valley cliffs to a nearby ambulance and taken to Abergavenny Hospital to be treated for spinal injuries.
