DAREDEVILS took the ultimate 'leap of faith' to raise more than £5,000 for the Taste for Adventure Centre on Saturday.
Nine teams rose to the challenge and threw themselves off a foot square platform 40 ft above the ground to catch a trapeze dangling a few feet away - just one of the tasks during an action packed day.
Bronco Lane and Brummie Stokes - two adventurers who themselves have faced many a challenge - organised the fun day to raise vital funds to keep the centre ticking over.
Teams faced canoeing, rafting, abseiling, orienteering and archery to help give disadvantaged young people opportunities that are otherwise out of their reach.
The biggest fundraisers, who cashed in with more than £1,500, were the Moreton Misfits led by parish warden and milkman Steve Price who runs an adventure club for youngsters in Moreton-on-Lugg.
The overall winners were from Play night-club and the runners-up, a team organised by the Left Bank came a close second by just one mark.
Bronco hopes that now the daring adventurers have had a taster, it will become an annual event with fresh challenges at different venues.
"We will continue because of the feedback from the teams was so positive," he added.
More than 1,500 disadvantaged youngsters enjoyed trying out the adventurous outdoor pursuits at the Credenhill site and the surrounding area last year.
The Taste for Adventure site is available to hire for private individuals and local schools for a nominal fee. For further information call 01432 761398.
