FUN DAY -- Sunday, June 22 is the annual fun day on the playing field with children's fancy dress procession leaving the village green at 1.45pm led by the town crier and his wife. Attractions include six-a-side football, Brecon Town Band, gymnastic display, side shows, trade stands, children's races, barbecue, licensed bar, Highland cattle, and a grand draw. FLIX -- Flix in the Sticks will be showing 'Rabbit Proof Fence' (cert PG), an Australian film based on the true story of three Aboriginal girls who escaped from a government settlement to make the 1,400 mile trek home, at Dorstone Village Hall on Friday, June 20. Doors open 7.30pm and the film starts at 8pm. There will be a licensed bar and tickets cost £3.50.
