CHURCH bells, which fell silent more than six months ago when the fourth bell in the peal cracked, are ringing again at Almeley to the delight of villagers.
Helpers teamed up to remove the damaged bell from the church tower after raising £5,000 to have it recast at Taylors bellfounders in Loughborough.
A party of 38 local people travelled to the works for a memorable event - they watched their bell being recast and tuned.
