Hereford Cathedral rowers claimed two wins and produced a number of good performances at the Stratford-upon-Avon Regatta.
Leading the way was the under-14 men's coxed four who produced an outstanding performance when they moved up an age group to defeat local rivals Monmouth School in the final.
In time honoured tradition the cox Stuart Adams sampled the water of the river Avon at close quarters when he was ducked by his winning crew Jack Smith, Calum Corbin, George Watkins and William Boyd-Thomas.
The Junior-14 women's double sculls final produced the keenest racing of the day when Cathedral A and B crews dead-heated in an exciting final.
However the A team of Georgina Pochin and Shay-Anne Preece justified their status when they edged out Sophie Griffiths-Goddard and Faye Hill in the re-row by the closest of margins. Within minutes Griffiths-Goddard was in action again in the Junior-14 single sculls final, but her previous exertions told when she faded to lose by two lengths.
The winners were presented with their pewter tankards by the mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon, Clive Thomas, a former Herefordian, accompanied by his wife, who hails from Leominster.
