THE Unity Garden has been going for one year now and is a shining example of a successful and lively community project.
Situated on the old Council Nurseries on Ledbury Road, in Hereford the site is once more thriving, with flower, herb and vegetable gardens, ponds full of tadpoles and a turf maze.
The greenhouses are being used to grow a wide variety of herbs and vegetables which are used in the preparation of delicious meals in the vegetarian cafe.
The community wants to find out more about the history of their site and would be interested to hear from anyone with memories of the site before or after it was a Council Nursery in 1965.
If you have any memories of the place, or you might even have photographs, please contact the project on 01432 273901 or email unitygarden@btconnect.com
