Hereford Police continued their hunt for the Whitecross Road knifeman by returning to the scene of the unprovoked attack in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police officers stopped and spoke to many people near the turning for the Sainsburys supermarket where a baby-faced attacker stabbed a complete stranger in the neck just seven days earlier on June 7. Police are now sure that the attacker did make his way down Melrose Place and believe he then went towards the river.
The knifeman is described as a white male, about 5ft 11 inches, in his late teens to mid 20s, of slim build, and with a youthful face. Hereford police have again appealed for anyone with information to contact DC Martin Broomfield on 08457 444888.
