AN inquest had few answers for the family of an SAS soldier who died after a motorcycle accident in Germany.
The scant evidence offered in German police statements left county coroner David Halpern with little option but to decide Glenn Baldwin died accidentally.
Mr Baldwin, 39, from Three Elms, Hereford, was off duty and attending an open day at a motor-racing circuit near Nuremberg when the accident occurred in June last year.
The inquest heard how Mr Baldwin's motorcycle may have been 'clipped' by an overtaking car on the circuit.
Alternatively, statements suggested that a car could have collided with him when he came off on a downhill bend.
Mr Baldwin died in hospital from his injuries 11 days later.
He was unable to give investigators a clear account of what occurred.
According to statements the other driver admitted 'contact' at the scene.
But there were no witnesses or trackside observers to outline circumstances.
Nor was their any indication as to whether the driver of the overtaking car had been prosecuted.
