DORE Abbey hosts its annual music festival next weekend (June 27-29).
Events commence with the popular Unicorn Singers performing 'Gloriana' - a celebration of Elizabethan Legacy to include The Triumphf of Oriana and Shakespeare Songs - on Friday evening at 7.30pm.
On Saturday (June 28) Sam Laughton will conduct the Craswall Players Orchestra, violin soloist - Christopher George. In a rare opportunity to hear an orchestra in the Abbey, the programme will include Wagner, Mozart and Schubert.
Later the same evening The St Georges Singers will perform Compline in the Abbey.
The festival concludes with performances from students from two Herefordshire schools. Fairfield High School will have twenty talented instrumentalists on stage while Kingstone High School will entertain with a choir of 60.
