AFTER the great success of last year's 'Noise' event in South Wye a repeat is planned for June 21 and 22.
Around 200 young people, aged 11 and over, are expected to undertake yet more projects; painting play areas, litter picking, redecorating and gardening to name a few.
Sue Fiennes, chair of the Herefordshire Community Safety Partnership, said: "By involving local communities in projects like 'Noise', we aim to tackle issues in their area and address the causes of crime and disorder to improve the quality of life across Herefordshire.
"It has been proven that through active participation, young people increase their awareness of crime and community safety issues and are in turn less likely to become victims of crime.''
Project manager Sue Carter said: "This project gives young people the opportunity to have fun, make new friends and make a difference. We need to encourage them to reach for their dreams. Hopefully, they will go on to be involved in other initiatives that will equip and empower them"
