Leominster'S running rector Peter Swain is to receive a special honour from the Bishop of Hereford. Canon Swain, famed for an abseiling stunt from the Priory tower and a charity run via all the Leominster deanery churches, is to be granted a Prebendal Stall in Hereford Cathedral. He will take the title of Prebendary. The rector, who is also the Leominster Rural Dean, has gained the honour in recognition of his leadership in one of the most demanding posts of the diocese. He has won praise for his commitment to the local church-led link with the African community of Tengeru.
