HEREFORD United's player/coach Phil Robinson has barely had a moment to reflect on events at Edgar Street this week but is more than happy to be in charge of team affairs.
His reign started with a 4-2 win against Farnborough Town but Robinson admits he hasn't taken everything in since Graham Turner decided to take a hands-off role.
"To be honest it all happened so quickly I haven't given it much thought because it has been such a hectic few days," he said.
"But it is great to be in charge of team affairs and I thoroughly enjoyed it on Tuesday and I just hope it continues."
Robinson admits he feels an added burden of expectation when he is in charge of the team.
"As a player and as a coach you are desperate to win but the importance is driven home when you are responsible for picking a team and putting it out," he said.
Robinson has rich experience from a playing career which included spells at Aston Villa, Wolves, Notts County, Chesterfield, Birmingham and Stoke and he still plans to play again after recovering from injury.
"I'm still waiting for confirmation to resume physical contact but when that is given I will get myself fit in case I'm needed," he said.
His new role in charge of team affairs with the prospect of selecting or dropping team-mates does not worry Robinson.
"I think the fact I haven't been playing this season and was already working as first team coach means the lads have got respect for me and respect any decisions I make."
