Ross Town 2 Pewsey Vale 0
ROSS overcame stiff opposition to reach the second round of the Hellenic League Cup.
Ross were under pressure from the kick-off and goalkeeper Craig Edwards was forced to make some smart saves.
Giant Pewsey striker Mark Steaten headed against the crossbar as the visitors threatened to break the deadlock.
Ross responded after the interval, however, with Kevin Hard firing wide, and they took the lead on 58 minutes when central defender Matt Phillips headed in a Dave Parker free-kick.
Dave Parker then went close before his brother, Ryan Parker, sealed the triumph on his debut with a powerful 20-yard drive.
