PEGASUS reached the second round of the Hellenic League Cup with a remarkable win.

The Hereford club were 4-1 down with just 15 minutes of normal time remaining, but hit back to force extra time and scored three times in the first period to wrap up an astonishing victory.

Despite a Paul Mallender penalty, Pegasus trailed 2-1 at the interval, with two goals from the lively Paul Slack.

The hosts fell further behind when Slack completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot on the hour, and the lively striker then appeared to put the result beyond doubt, snapping up his fourth goal.

Leigh Harris, however, brought Pegasus back into the game, firing home in the 75th minute. And, in Pegasus' next attack, Mark Sutton drilled in a shot from close range.

Pegasus threw everything forward in search of the equaliser and Alex Hunt capped the home side's amazing comeback, heading in an 83rd-minute shot by Alex Hunt.

Pegasus made the game safe in the first period of extra time when another Hunt header was followed by strikes from Chris Aspey and Andy Clarke.

Martin Middlecote rattled the Pegasus woodwork in the 65th minute and Scott Medcroft followed up instinctively to net the winner.
