ROGER Moran wrapped up his third Avon BMTR Hill Climb Championship with a win and a second place at Prescott on Sunday.

The garage owner from Orleton drove his Gould-Judd GR37 to win the morning run-off with a time of 40.58 seconds. Roy Lane was next on 41.05, followed by Simon Durling on 41.19.

Then Moran stormed up the 1127-yard Gloucestershire course in 39.95 seconds to lead the afternoon qualifiers and take the best time of the day and class winner's award.

Lane won the afternoon run-off on a wet track with 47.42 from Moran on 48.61 and Trevor Willis on 48.61.

Scott Moran kept his unbeaten record in the 2000cc sports car class with a 47.79 seconds drive.
