THE economic outlook for Leominster and Bromyard has been boosted by the appointment of a new market towns officer.
Nick Webster, who has spent the past 18 months with Herefordshire Council's Local Development Team, will work with new and existing partners to find a way forward for both communities.
Councillor Chris Chappell, cabinet member for economic development, said: "With Nick's background he is ideal for this role and I am sure that he will use all of the contacts he has made over the last 18 months to benefit Bromyard and Leominster.
"It is important that all of the market towns and surrounding parishes have an officer to look after their specific needs."
Before joining the Local Development Team, Nick worked with an organic food marketing company in Shropshire following five years studying at Aberystwyth University.
He has a BSc in rural resources management and a Masters degree in business administration specialising in Agri-business.
