ROAD accidents brought traffic chaos to Leominster twice in 24 hours.
The town was hit by 45-minutes of gridlock at peak travel time, just after 5pm last Thursday, when a car was in collision with a lorry on New Street near the Green lane junction.
One injured person was taken to hospital as fire fighters made safe the wrecked car.
A woman and baby were taken to hospital with minor injuries on Friday morning after an accident on the A44 Bargates involving three vehicles. The collision, shortly after 7am, created traffic mayhem for nearly an hour.
Soon after attending the incident Leominster fire fighters were called out to deal with a blazing Toyota van in a lay-by on the A49 north of the town.
A passer-by reported seeing people leaving the scene in a car.
The unattended van was destroyed by the fire.
