REVENGE, intrigue and death are the engaging ingredients of a new novel by a former Minster School teacher.
Retired commerce lecturer Valerie Walland has delved back in time to Victorian England with Ever Whirling Wheels and deals with the stifling conventions facing women of the time.
Mrs Walland, who now lives in Malvern with her husband Robert, returns to writing after more than 20 years with her tale of the trials and tribulations of a young girl trying to live an independent life between 1860-1878.
Ever Whirling Wheels is available from Silverdale Books, Silverdale Lodge, 42 West Malvern Road, Malvern, WR14 4NA or Beacon Books in Malvern.
