THE Hay Makers celebrate the arrival of autumn with an exhibition of plant paper collages.
Erica Just uses a variety of plant fibres, teasels, nettles, and banana skins etc to make her richly textured papers. Their colours vary from season to season making their characteristics unique. The papers are combined with natural forms, feathers, shells and leaves, which Erica finds when travelling and beach combing.
"Each collage is a record of a time and a place", says Erica. Come and see her visual memories.
Also influenced by the natural world, but with completely different results is Petra Bishai, whose stunning work is on show in the jewellery case. In her Zebedee and Tiger Lily collections Petra amplifies the microscopic detail of living plants and flowers, producing sharp, elegant pieces, which stimulate, confuse and challenge.
The exhibition continues until November 17.
