COUNTRYWIDE and Hay and Brecon Farmers have reached agreement for Countrywide Farmers to transfer their store in Llandrindod Wells to Hay and Brecon Farmers.
The companies say there will be an orderly transfer over the next few weeks.
Ian Smith, Countrywide's managing director, said: "We have been reviewing our operations and concluded that the interests of farmers in the area can best be served by Hay and Brecon Farmers with whom we already have a good relationship and who have an excellent reputation."
Norman Perkins, Hay and Brecon's chief executive, said: "We already have plans to build on the successful business established by Countrywide and we see this as a growth and development opportunity for Hay and Brecon. We want to reassure our customers and staff that it will be business as usual."
